My iPhone is a member of my family. I take it with me everywhere I go. It is right there by my side during my worst time, my best time, when I am bored, when I am angry. It is my constant companion.

If someone hurt my iPhone, they would be dead to me.

With the eclipse happening in just a few days, I know that many people are going to want to take pictures of this once in a lifetime event. When I heard about the potential danger to my BFF, I thought that I will leave the picture taking to the experts and shield my phone from danger.

NASA has published some tips to keep your phone protected during this once-in-lifetime event. They suggest covering your lens with a solar filter before totality while the sun is still extremely bright which will give you a clear image. Click here for their detailed article with lots of tips and advice on taking pictures and general safety during the eclipse.

Be safe and Happy Eclipsing.
