Back in October, we asked you to vote for the Best High School Marching Band in Greater Danbury. After an epic battle of local schools, the New Milford Green Wave Marching Band topped all the rest to capture the title.

During our contest, over 180,000 votes were cast for local Greater Danbury High School Marching Bands and the New Milford Green Wave received close to 88,000 of those votes to win the title.

I spoke to David Syzdek, the band's Director, as well as senior band members Micheal Tarby, Max Halberg, and Greg Winkelstern. Here's what they had to say just before they headed off to Los Angeles to march in the Hollywood Christmas Parade, which will on television on Friday (December 15) on the CW. The two-hour special will be rebroadcast on the Hallmark Channel.
