It's time to introduce you to this week's pet of the week, Snitchy — she's a 15-year-old domestic short hair and part of a special program at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford.

Now, Snitchy may be a senior cat, but she's is a great older girl. She's happiest when she's just hanging in her bed, sleeping under the cat cages, or venturing out into the hallway to check out what's happening at the Shelter.  She's very sweet and just wants to be loved. Snitchy is also part of the AWS Cat and Dog Senior to Senior Program. It's a program that's designed to encourage seniors to adopt a senior dog or cat free of charge.

The program is supported by funds from the community, so if you would like to donate to help keep the program going, just visit their site aws-shelter.org/seniors-for-seniors

For more information about Snitchy, and all the other adoptable Dogs and Cats, call the Animal Welfare Society at (860) 354-1350 or visit them on Dodd Road in New Milford.

They’re open Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.
