Trader Joe’s Recalls Unsweetened Apple Sauce in CT and NY
Apple sauce is great, except for when it's possibly bad.
Applesauce is a staple in so many homes so heads up about this piece of news. The very popular shopping spot, Trader Joe's, is recalling some unsweetened apple sauce products over concerns that there could be glass inside the product.
Trader Joe's has issued a voluntary recall for three products. First Crush Unsweetened Apple Sauce, Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce, and the All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce too. The first two were sold all around the country -- including Connecticut and New York -- while Trader Joe's All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce was sold only in AL, AZ, CA, CO, ID, LA, NV, NM, OK, OR, TX, UT, and WA.
Considering the fact that the applesauces all have best by dates into 2018, you need to check the back of your pantry to make sure you don't have any jars tucked away back there.
Trader Joe's is urging customers to throw away the product, and of course, anyone who has purchased a recalled product can return it for a full refund.
