- Americares based in Stamford and Save the Children based in Fairfield have already started humanitarian efforts in Nepal after this weekends devastating earthquake. Both organizations are urging you to donate through their websites. Click on AMERICARES and SAVE THE CHILDREN
- Get ready to find an alternate route. Starting 6am this Saturday May 2nd Route-34 in Monroe and Oxford will be shut down to traffic in both directions over the Stevenson Dam connecting both towns. The road is expected to be closed until May 5th while maintenance work is being done on the dam.
- Chalk one up for the Mexican fast food chain - Chipotle. Starting today they are serving ONLY food with no GMO's ( genetically modified ingredients ).Two years ago Chipotle became the first restaurant chain to identify all the items on its menu that contained GMO ingredients.
