Local Country Music star Jessica Lynn is coming to our Harvest Jam 2015 on Saturday October 10th at the Ives Concert Park in Danbury. Here's some things you should know about her.

Jessica Lynn is from Yorktown, N.Y. She began performing at the early age of 4. She eventually learned how to play the piano, guitar and drums. It wasn’t just music that interested her, though; she also performed community theater with Yorktown Stage and was active in her middle and high schools’ drama clubs.

She formed her first band at 14, called A Few 2 Many. Though performing was always her passion, Lynn, knew she would need an alternative, so she attended PACE University, earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s in special education.

Now, when she’s not on stage, Lynn is in front of an entirely different kind of audience — substitute teaching at Lakeland High School, the school from which she graduated in 2008.

Her story was recently featured on the CBS Nightly News.

One of my favorite Jessica songs, "This Much Fun" live from the Winery at St. George

And a song from her T.V. Special "Takin Over"- Live from the Paramount
