Over the weekend my family and I were at Danbury Fair and it always brings me back to my teenage years when I pass stores that have been there for a while. Yeah, I was one of those mall kids.

Lots of different stores have come and gone in the Danbury Fair Mall and others have gone and come back (can't wait for the Disney Store to open!).

There have been some that have lasted through the years, they may have moved locations in the mall, but they're still there!

Here's a list of stores that have made it through the years at Danbury Fair and bring me back to my teenage years.

  • The News Stand - It's been moved over the years, but it's still there. This is where we would go to get lots of candy and drinks. They we'd walk around the mall all sugared up (as if we weren't hyper enough, just add sugar!)
  • Spencer's - This was the place to go to find things that you would have to hide from your parents. Mainly we just went here and giggled, like teenage girls do.
  • Hot Topic- They still have pretty cool clothes, but this was definitely the place we went to get our badass clothes and accessories. I still like going in there, but I'm sure the teens are wondering if I'm shopping for my daughter. The other place we went (mainly for unnatural hair dye) was TSX (I think those were the letters, correct me if I'm wrong). Loved that store!
  • Claire's - This is wear I got my ears pierced and most of my friends went to Claire's too. I can still smell the liquid they put on your ears to pierce them. They always had fun jewelry to look at.
  • Piercing Pagoda - If you didn't get your ears pierced at Claire's this was probably where you went.
  • Things Remembered - If you needed a nice gift this was always the default place to go. Picture frames, Zippos, pens, etc. Plus, they engrave!
  • Brookstone - This was always a fun store to go in, but I'm sure they hated us. We were young, there was no way we could afford all the fun gadgets we played with in that store. Love those massage chairs!
  • Aldo - I still love this store. They always have the coolest shoes! Plus, now I can afford them.
  • Express - They have been in Danbury Fair for quite some time. As a teenager I loved going in this store. It was always fun looking around at all the fun clothes there.
  • The Carousel - You're never too old to take a ride on the carousel in the food court. It's beautiful and has been there forever!

Some stores that I miss:

  • TSX
  • The Warner Brothers Store
  • Babbages
  • FYE
  • Saturday Matinee
  • Wilson's Leather
  • KB Toys
  • The Fountain (the little one is nice, but boring)

What about you? Which stores do you remember and which do you miss?
